Every backflow device is required by law to be tested annually, or anytime that after maintenance has been performed on the device. The state puts the resposibilty on the local municipality and or water providers to ensure compliance.

The price of the backflow test varies for every other company with some charging north of $300. Old Glory backflow charges $149.00 for backflow test on devices 2" and smaller.

How long does a backflow test take?

The test can take anywhere from 30 minutes to 1 hour. The water to your property will need to be turned off for the entirity of the test.

Old Glory Backflow is certified for testing as well as repairs to the bakflow devices. If your device fails Matt will come and talk to you about your next options and the best way to procceed with getting the backflow device back into compliance.

Yes!! I am ASSE Certified for backflow testing, repair, and installation. I am also a licensed and registerd Master Plumber. There is nothing that I am not able to test, repair, fix, or install. I am your one stop shop.

Do I need to be home during the test?

That depends on where the device is located.If the assembly is outside and safely accessible, you may not need to be present. If it is inside a building, behind a locked gate, in a mechanical room, or requires access through the property, someone will need to provide entry.We will confirm access arrangements when scheduling.
